Garduño's Description:
This homegrown chain continues to draw locals right along with tourists, though the food could hardly be considered authentic New Mexican (or authentic anything, for that matter). No matter: The festive décor, giant margaritas, and even bigger Tex-Mex menu laden with cheese-smothered guilty pleasures add up to a much-needed workaday escape. Since there are also plenty of fish dishes and vegetarian options, it's not impossible to eat lightly---but why come here if not to let it all hang out over a burrito magnifico or machaca (shredded beef) chimichanga? The fajita express buffet is popular come lunchtime.
